We hope your 2019 has been treating you well so far! Here in Colorado we’re finally shaking off the cold, wet Winter and welcoming gorgeous Spring weather! This burst of renewed life is giving us a burst of renewed energy, and we’re going to take full advantage of it by launching several new projects!
We have started preproduction on a documentary currently titled What Are Christians? Our goal with this documentary is to showcase through “man on the street” interviews how people perceive Christians, and see how it lines up with what Scripture says about how the world should see us. The release format of this project is currently undecided, and will be determined by what kind of responses we get in our interviews. We will begin filming interviews in the local area later this month.
Next on our production slate is the final Delantare prologue short film. Just as February’s The Future set the stage for the era of Earth-Future, The Whistlin’ Kid introduces elements that will be featured in the Earth-Past era of the Old West. Preproduction will begin later in April, with filming tentatively scheduled for May.
After The Whistlin’ Kid, the next films we release for Delantare will be the main storyline. Enough of this teaser & prologue stuff, right? 😉 We’re still working on development (world building, story mapping, writing, etc) and determining what approach we will be taking with the project (live action or animated? Feature films or web series? and so forth). Obviously, a big factor of all of this will be the budget and what we’re able to raise.
With that in mind, we have been spending the past few months developing a Delantare-related product that we can release to help start raising those initial development funds! Introducing…
Long ago, the Kinds, a race of elementals, saved the people of Delantare from an invasion by a race of conquerors known as the Veraar. The people of Delantare went on to honor the Kinds in many ways, including in games like Shorshacart.
Shorshacart is a fun, easy to play card game that the whole family can enjoy! We are in the final stages of playtesting and getting ready for printing, and the game should be available by late April/early May.
And don’t forget, we do have a store set up on the Delantare website with shirts and more to raise funds for production!
Phew! This is definitely going to be a busy Spring for us, but we’re super excited about what’s in store! Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more with you soon!
